Our mission at Westar Sport Horses is to breed the Ultimate Sport Horse! Our focus is to develop the finest dressage, jumping, hunter and eventing horses in the nation by utilizing handpicked AQHA, APHA and Thoroughbred horses. Our Goal is to provide a modern and competitive sport horse, developed specifically for amateur riders, yet good enough for the professionals. Thus we breed horses with a stable mind, trainability, and the utmost soundness which will provide years of showing pleasure for their owner.
About Us:
Joel and Melinda Hollingsworth, owners of Westar Ranch, have partnered with Daniel and Kristin Patton to produce competitive sport horses with highly trainable minds, athletic conformation and soundness.
The Hollingsworths have been active in breeding pleasure and halter horses and in recent years have competed successfully at the PHBA World show, AQHA World Show and AQHYA World show.
The Pattons have over 43 years of combined horse breeding, showing and training experience with multiple breeds. Most recently, they have bred Hanoverians and have owned some of the top international bloodlines in the US, producing several exceptionally talented foals. They are commited to breeding a modern sport horse with the exceptional mind of the foundation Quarter Horse and the atheltic abilities of the most exceptional sport type Thoroughbreds, resulting in a horse that can consistently compete on the open USEF circuit as well as excel in the AQHA and APHA arenas in dressage, jumping and hunter events.
We have selected the finest sport horse type Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred mares from all over the United States to be bred to our stallions. We offer horses for sale out of these mares, by our Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred Stallions.
